The Narcissist’s Jealousy of Joy: Why They Resent Your Healing

When Your Healing Outgrows Their Control

When you begin healing, narcissists start to panic. They lose control the moment you find peace that they can’t disrupt.

A narcissist’s power thrives in your confusion. The moment you gain mental clarity; is the moment they lose access. That’s why they downplay your progress, weaponize your emotions against you, and attempt to reenter when you start rebuilding your boundaries.

Healing is an act of rebellion. It’s the radical decision of choosing your peace over their chaos, softness over control. When they can’t reach you emotionally, they’ll try to provoke you indirectly — often through children, mutual friends, or social media.

But here’s the truth: their jealousy of your healing is proof of your growth. Keep going. The peace that you’re protecting is worth every boundary you reinforce.
